Digital blood pressure monitors OMRON

How does a digital blood pressure monitor measure pressure?

A digital blood pressure monitor measure pressure using the oscillometric method. With the oscillometric method, the magnitude of the vibration caused by the blood as it flows through the arteries is calculated. This vibration measurement is then converted by an advanced algorithm of the digital blood pressure monitor into numbers (e.g. 120/80) and displayed on the digital display.

In order for the results of measurement by this method to be accurate, the blood pressure monitor used must be clinically certified for its accuracy.

All OMRON blood pressure monitors are clinically certified and approved for their accuracy and reliability.
