EOPYY: New One-Time Password (OTP) Verification Process

Starting from February 3, 2025, EOPYY is implementing a significant change in the process of issuing and executing prescriptions for healthcare services. This change aims to enhance security and ensure that only authorized users can access the services.

The change introduces a One-Time Password (OTP) system, which will be sent to the beneficiary’s mobile phone during the issuance and execution of prescriptions.

Key Points to Know:

  • The OTP will be sent to the verified mobile phone number of the beneficiary.
  • It applies to the following categories of healthcare services:
    1. Physiotherapy and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
    2. Special Therapy
    3. Medical Supplies (e.g., dressings, diabetic supplies, ostomy materials)
    4. Additional Healthcare Materials (e.g., orthopedic, respiratory, CPAP & BiPAP devices)
    5. Special Nutrition Formulas

What You Need to Do: To ensure uninterrupted access to these services, you must register and verify your mobile phone number in the Health Insurance File (FAU) through the EOPYY website (www.eopyy.gov.gr). The process is simple and requires your TaxisNet credentials.

Special Cases:

  • Minor Children: The parent’s/guardian’s mobile number will be used.
  • Elderly without a mobile phone: The caregiver’s mobile number will be used.

Steps to Update Your Contact Information:

  1. Visit www.eopyy.gov.gr
  2. Select: Citizens → Health Insurance File (FAU)
  3. Log in using your TaxisNet credentials
  4. Enter your AMKA number
  5. Select: Current User → Update Contact Information
  6. Fill in your mobile phone number and complete the verification

Once you complete the process, you will receive the OTP and continue your transactions with EOPYY as usual.
