1980  The first company distributing medical products and healthcare equipment is

established in Crete, by Charilaos Halambalakis, under the name of C. Halambalakis & Co.

1988  Creation and Development of separate Hospital Sales Department, specialized in

anesthesia disposables.

1989  ?HaMed? is launched as company?s brand name.

1990  Athens branch is established, for the support of Hospital Sales Department.

1991  Launch of Homecare network (Pioneer 24/7 technical support)

1992  Representation of Air Liquide Hellas in the area of Crete and beginning to support patients with respiratory problems by the Homecare network

1993  Establishment of PROMED S.A. for the needs of the distribution and support of

medical and respiratory devices.

1998  HaMed is one of the first enterprises in the Greek healthcare market to be certified by ΕΝ ISO 9002:2004, accredited by Lloyd?s RQA.

1999  The two companies are merged under the name of HaMed ? Halambalakis SA

2001  Retail shop is launched (2^nd) in Crete specialized in orthopedic and anatomic

products and applications.

2002  The enterprise is certified by EN ISO 9001:2004, accredited by Lloyd?s RQA, for

the import, distribution and technical support of medical products and devices.

2003   HaMed ? Halambalakis SA is the only regional healthcare enterprise to be certified

according to ?Ermis ? Accessible Chose?

2005  Under the needs of development and greater support for the Homecare network,

the 3^rd retail shop is launched, close of the University Hospital of Heraklion.
